Welcome to KICKS Tae Kwon Do and Fitness Centers, Incorporated!

Tae Kwon Do is the perfect combination of defense and offense, aggression and control, dominance and mercy, knowledge and kindness, power and beauty, and the Yin  and Yang itself, or better known in Korea as Yang and Um.  This martial art combines the straight-angular, offensive styles of the east, with the circular-flowing, defensive styles of the west to create an art form that is truly unmatched.  Tae Kwon Do is currently being practiced in over 285 countries andbecame an official medal sport at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. With  the breaking developments in modern sports science, Tae Kwon Do is proving to be the world's leader in self-defense, friendly competition, and life building!

Tae Kwon Do is in the family with Karate, Judo, Hapkido, Kung Fu, Kickboxing and what is considered today as modern Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). It  truly is a 'mixed martial art' all in itself. The philosophies that govern the core beliefs of Tae Kwon Do combine many of these martial arts into a whole, both with physical techniques and the 'Do' itself, which means, 'The Way of Life'.

Helping raise funds and awareness of many different diseases and disabilities has always been a key goal and concern of this organization.  We have worked for over 25 years with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as many others from Cystic Fibrosis, Breast Cancer, and multiple other degenerative and terminal disease foundations.  We are experienced in working with a wide range of physical and mental handicaps, from Downs Syndrome and blindness, to bad backs and loss of limbs.  The miracle of Tae Kwon Do is that it has actually cured and gave back to individuals what they could not receive anywhere in any other treatments.  It is our ultimate goal to pull out the best in every person, no matter the race, religion, or handicap and to build strong, promising, aspiring lives.

KICKS Tae Kwon Do is the headquarters of the Korean Tae Kwon Do Association of America(KTAA), an organization that consists of multiple schools around the country headed under the guidance of Grand Master Ronald W. Rose, 9th Dan, and his wife, Professor Christine Rose, 7th Dan.

Grand Master Rose started teaching in Taylor, MI in 1968, at Kennedy High School, and later met up with his wife, Professor Christine Rose. Soon after, they moved their business to Wayne, MI, where they have stood as Ambassadors of Health and Fitness on the City Council, and have been changing lives around the country and the world for over thirty five years.

Grand Master and Professor Christine Rose and their dedicated staff of  instructors have become an international gateway of culture, sport, and arts between Asia and North America.  Together they have produced thousands of martial artists, over 700 black belts, and the best Masters, Senior Masters, and Grand Masters.

"If you could live with the Great Grand Masters in Seoul, attend meetings with the fathers of the art, train, study, and teach with them as I have , they would tell you the same thing they have told me, "Kicks Tae Kwon Do is #1 outside of Korea".
           Master Eric Rose
